The Dandy '51 is the first in our new range titled 'Strip Lighting'......te he

One year after 'The Dandy' having changed its name from 'The Dandy Comic', this edition celebrated its 60th anniversary only last month. Nearly 20 years after having bought it in a bookstore in Cornwall and 6 different addressess later, this not-quite mint condition copy has ended up on the cutting mat here at Ade & Viv HQ, and has become the first in what will be a range of Retro Standard Lamps we will be calling 'Strip Lighting'.

  

What better way to finish this striking original lamp than with a vintage Union Jack flag lampshade, of which we were only able to produce two from given the size, in all it has to be the prize possession for any fan of the comic.

To become the proud owner, you'll find me at Outside Stall, Plot 59, Arthur Swallow Antique and Home Show at the Lincolnshire Showground, 6th, 7th & 8th June 2011.
